Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH)
يُعرف أيضًا باسم: GHRH
GHRH is a hypothalamic hormone that stimulates the pituitary to release growth hormone. GHRH analogs such as CJC-1295 and Tesamorelin are studied for sustained activation of this pathway.
GHRH binds the GHRH receptor, a class B G protein-coupled receptor on pituitary somatotroph cells, coupling to Gs and raising cyclic AMP (cAMP) to drive growth-hormone synthesis and release. Native GHRH has a very short half-life because DPP-4 and other proteases rapidly cleave it.
Synthetic analogs are engineered for greater enzymatic stability: tesamorelin is a stabilized analog of the GHRH(1–44) sequence, while CJC-1295 can carry a drug-affinity-complex (DAC) moiety that binds albumin for extended exposure. These GHRH-receptor agonists are studied in receptor-pharmacology research as a mechanism distinct from secretagogues that act on the GHSR.
