Also known as: GLP-3RT, LY3437943
Retatrutide is a synthetic 39-amino-acid peptide studied in vitro as a triple agonist of the GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors. It is supplied as research material (GLP-3RT) for laboratory research use only; not for human or veterinary use.
As a triple receptor agonist, retatrutide extends the dual incretin-receptor pharmacology of earlier peptides by adding glucagon-receptor (GCGR) activation. All three targets are Gs-coupled class B GPCRs that signal through cyclic AMP (cAMP) in cell-based assays.
In recombinant systems it is characterized as a potent GLP-1R and GCGR agonist with comparatively lower GIPR potency. Purity and identity are confirmed by HPLC and mass spectrometry before research use.
